As a 2nd Year Physics & Philosophy undergraduate at Kings College London, Maegan joined us during the summer of the Covid-19 pandemic to take a closer look at the problem of Space Debris. Maegan has space in her veins, having grown up surrounded by cool space geeks launching and operating many of Europe's satellites. Then she moved to Asia, where she got involved in sustainability projects. For us, Maegan analysed technical, legal and ethical frameworks and applied Systems Thinking methodologies to propose a set of Blue-Space 'Space Debris Mitigation Guidelines' for use on all our space projects. With a focus on using satellite data to solve sustainability challenges on Earth, it is only natural that we ensure that our operations have a minimal impact on the use of Earth's orbits and atmosphere for current and future generations.
